How're you feeling?

I'm mostly feeling very, very tired, as I have had some pretty bad sleep for the past few days. I'm also very lonely, as I have been since last Wednesday. Normally, I would have been doing something with my friends on Saturday… But I have great hopes for THIS Saturday.
I borrowed a Hardy Boys three-in-one casefiles* book from the library on Sunday, which has resulted in me reading it about seven times (roughly in a row), a really happy me and a pretty annoyed sister. No doubt, I'll be reading it more.
I've been suffering from writer's block, which is intensely annoying. I've also been churning a story idea in my mind, trying not to add too much excitement, which is, in my view, totally impossible unless I can control the floodgates…
I hope to give more attention to Abi, who has been lacking it ever since our new Wii games started working.
This is most of what's been going on in my boring life…

*The Hardy boys consists of about four series. Classic, casefiles (for slightly older people), secret files (for 8-10 year olds) and Undercover Brothers (for about 10 and older).

A recent story idea

It was partly Julian's fault. He was the one who wanted to go to that fancy school.
I am Timothy Rike. I should have known.
It was also Tom and Edie's fault. They were the ones who actually let him go to that crazy place.
I am Timothy Rike. A blank face is my shield.
It is also kind of my fault.
I am Timothy Rike. I'm a trouble magnet.
Then it is just plain bad luck. Normal tries to get at us, and rebounds.
I am Timothy Rike. Normality is not an option.

Happy 12/12/12 America!

It's the thirteenth of course over here, but it's 12/12/12, as well as my cousin's birthday, in America. And this photo was too good to pass up.
If you've stuck around long enough in my blog, you would know that I LOVE watching Bones! Happy 12/12/12 Americans, and enjoy the picture. :3

12/12/12

Happy 12/12/12 ya'll! Just for the fun of it, I'll post 12 facts about New Zealand (mostly because The Hobbit is comin our tomorrow). Enjoy today! It's gonna be the last one like it until the next century!

1. The Maori—the first people to come to New Zealand—traditionally greet each other by pressing their noses together.
2. Bats are the only land mammals native to the country.
3. Auckland—New Zealand's largest city—was built on an active volcano field.
4. Snakes are banned everywhere on that island, including zoos.
5. Parents aren't allowed to give kids names with more than 100 characters.
6. One New Zealand insect related to a cricket can grow as big a person's hand (It's called a weta).
7. In the city of Rotorua—a hot spot for geothermal activity—steam rises from some sidewalk cracks.
8. The Maori people called this nation the 'Land of the long white cloud.'
9. Parts of Frying pan lake are hot enough to boil an egg.
10. Wellington, New Zealand, is the southernmost national capital on the planet.
11. Hokey Pokey—vanilla ice cream with toffee chunks—is a popular national treat (and my dad's most fave ice cream flavor).
12. A hill there is named 'Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu.'

(I'm sure I didn't spell the last fact correctly)…

Bright blue eyes,
Innocent and mild.
Bright blue eyes,
Disguising the wild.

Can't wait for tooommmooorrroooww!

Tomorrow is Saint Nick's day! I can't wait to give my sibling their gifts!
Rough story of Saint Nicholas day:

Nicholas was a rich dude. One night, he heard a girl crying. She was crying because she and her two sisters loved someone, but since their father was too poor to pay for a wedding, they couldn't marry. Nicholas was really upset about this. So he went back to his home, filled a bag full of money, went back to the girl's house, and threw it down the chimney. He waited for her to find it, before going back to his home, well satisfied. But as he lay in his bed, he thought of the girl's two sisters. So on the next two nights, he went through the same routine as the first time. And all the sisters were married, and Nicholas was happy. And he never told anyone about what he did.
The story of Santa Claus is a corruption of the story of Saint Nicholas. On Saint Nicholas day (December 6) children would put their shoes by the door, and in the morning, they would find them full of chocolate coins in remembrance of the money that Nicholas gave the girls. (There are different versions of the shoes thing, but this is the one I remember the most).

JUST WHAT I WANTED!

I finally got some Hardy Boys books of my own! Whenever we go to a bookstore, I try to find any Hardy Boys books available. My chances are slim, but I look anyway. Anyway, during our Secret Santa, I asked for something Hardy Boys. When I got the present, I noted that it was fairly heavy. I desperately hoped that it was that I thought it was. And it was!! Yessssss! The first three Hardy Boys books!!! Yaaayyy! Thank you soooo much Ilona!
Merry early Christmas ya'll!
P.S. I wish that I wasn't such a fast freakin reader… yup. I finished it all already…
